 Location
The hotel is located near the main road, opposite Singapore Soka Association Building. A bus ride from the main road would take you to the city center in about 25 min time. This area is one of the official designated red light district, it is notoriously known as Singapore’s main red light district. It is also well known to the local for good food and fruit shops. The streets will transform at night with garish neon lights and red lanterns signifying houses of pleasure. This is as close as you can get to the alternative side of Singapore.
Room
The rooms are small, simple but clean. They are equipped with the basic amenities and a TV. There is no wardrobe in the room, however racks are available for hanging cloths. The bathroom is small and basic, and there is no partition between the toilet and the standing shower.
Restaurant
The hotel has a brasserie where daily breakfast is served. Located on the ground floor. A very utilitarian cafe with simple decoration. There is also a Chinese restaurant located on the second floor.
Exterior
The hotel exterior is modern and blends in with the surrounding residential building. The building is in excellent condition and looks almost new.
Lobby
The lobby is small and has a fully manned front desk around the clock. There is a row of clocks featuring different countries time on the wall. It has limited seating.
General
This budget hotel chain is highly recommended and presents excellent value for money for the budget conscious. It is situated in an exciting part of Singapore that provides a glimpse into the local flavor of the island. sg 03/08
