See and Do

Top See and do in Malaysia, by the people, for the people.

Island/Beach

Frolic in the sand, under the refreshing weather.Be mesmerised by the wonders of Malaysia!

Stunning Afternoon on Long Beach

Remember to do a bit of walking up the hill at Long Beach in Perhentian Island because you'll be rewarded with this wonderful scenery of the beach and the rays from the afternoon sun. Tip: If you decide to watch the sunset here (also beautiful!), bring torchlight with you because the trail back is pretty darn dark!

City/Shopping/Entertainment

Chinatown! It's loud, it’s packed with people, and it has some pretty good bargains.

I Braved it and Survived!

Chinatown! It's loud, it’s packed with people, and it has some pretty good bargains. This place is not for the faint-hearted though; you'll need to have your bargaining wits about you to "close" the deal!

Food & Dining

Savour Malaysia’s gastronomical delights, with its rich local influences, and modern fusion.

Asam laksa - You'll get Hooked on it!

It's fragrant, sour, spicy and I love it! Asam Laksa is a local dish of rice noodles, with bits of mackerel, onions, cucumber, lettuce, chilli and mint leaves swirled together in a fish-base soup and prawn paste for that sweet taste. Locals finish it on the spot while standing, a feat still beyond me especially when I'm no expert with chopsticks!

Hill Resorts

Breakaway to the hills for a relaxing, cooling rest. Enjoy the bliss!

Cameron's Tea Plantation

You must visit the tea plantation when you're up in Cameron Highlands. It’s one thing to be looking out to hills of neatly arranged tea leaves but being among them is like a breath of fresh air. And an awesome-picture moment too!

Eco-Adventure/Diving

Malaysia has a rich ecosystem, with exciting eco-adventures and top diving destinations!

A day with Orang Utans

I've heard so much about this place and was glad I could squeeze in some time before my flight back to KL. It's nice to watch the orang-utans roam freely in their own habitat, at times times acknowledging tourists. For just RM30, everyone who stops by Sandakan and appreciates nature should visit.

Events/ Festival

Malaysia has an exciting year-round calendar of world class and unique local events.

Letting Your Hair Down in Sarawak

The rainforest festival pulls together people from all over the world of all ethnicities and colours for one purpose - their love for music. Imagine people from all over the world, wielding the strangest mix of musical instruments, brought together in one place to jam! What made this experience truly amazing was not only the mesh of musical landscape, but the people. It's probably the first time I've seen a man dressed in a kilt playing the bagpipe in the forest!

Wedding & Honeymoon

A mesmerising vow of two souls, and a romantic honeymoon under the starry skies. Experience Malaysia!

Waking Up to a Classy Outdoor Breakfast

The late night at our wedding dinner reception knocked us out cold. We woke up in a complete daze the next morning. But there was a delightful surprise waiting for us at the patio when we opened the side doors of the villa leading out to the garden; a complete hearty breakfast with the smell of coffee lingering in the air. At that point, we wanted to move to Perak for good!

Sports & Recreation

Spoilt for choice with a large selection of sporting activities in and around the country.

All Geared Up for the Malaysia GP

The fast cars, the fantastic drivers and the scorching heat - an exhilarating combination that only spells one thing; the Malaysia Grand Prix in Sepang. The atmosphere is always pumped up and the crowd fully charged. What you'll need most though - a towel and water (loads of it!).

Spa & Wellness

Health and wellness is taken seriously in Malaysia, combining tradition and new, modern experiences.

The Luxurious Four Seasons Resort Spa

Walk into the Four Seasons Resort Spa in Langkawi and feel your body, mind and soul succumb to utter relaxation. Malaysia has become a spa heaven over the last few years, taking both traditional and contemporary methods of pampering to a whole new level and at affordable prices too! And the heavenly sceneries are to die for!

Culture/Lifestyle/Homestay/History

A unique Malaysian culture is a mix of its rich heritage, lifestyle and much more!

An Evening Stroll at St.Paul's Hill

One of the must-dos in historical Melaka is to take an evening stroll (you can avoid the heat) up to St.Paul's Hill. The climb may leave you panting but the view from the hill will leave you breathless. Built by the Portuguese in 1521, the church was abandoned when the Dutch, and subs equently the British, conquered Malaya. It was used instead as a burial ground for both Portuguese and Dutch noblemen, St.Francis Xavier himself included, before his body was moved back to Goa. Many tombstones with Latin and Dutch inscriptions still stand here today.
